Tanzschule und Ballhaus Walzerlinksgestrickt

In the historic Habel Brewery in Kreuzberg's Bergmannkiez, the Walzerlinksgestrickt dance school and ballroom revives Berlin's 1920s ballroom culture. Those who want to dance as a single on weekends will find the space here: without contract commitment, without a dance partner as a mandatory program.
Dancing in Kreuzberg without excuses
In Kreuzberg’s Bergmannkiez lies the Walzerlinksgestrickt ballroom with four fascinating brick halls in the style of the 1920s. The ceiling reaches almost seven meters high, dark parquet, red velvet curtains, a stage and gallery – the ambiance makes it clear that you’re not just dancing anywhere. Singles feel particularly at home here because the concept is cleverly designed. Solodance runs entirely without a dance partner: footwork, turns, and basics from Salsa, Swing, Cha Cha Cha, and more. Walzerlinksgestrickt does not have a mandatory subscription structure like many other dance schools. Generally, no monthly fee is charged, only for the hours actually booked. This means: just drop by if Saturday night gets too long again.
Walzerlinksgestrickt: The Weekend Program for Beginners and Everyone Else
The TangoNacht on Saturday and the regular balls and galas are legendary. „Die TANZstunde“ (The DANCE lesson) on Sunday evening means: quickly register and start dancing. No prior knowledge is required. The Open Classes for Discofox, Swing, Tango Argentino, and Salsa are the flexible way to dance. You can join new classes daily. The offer is aimed at beginners, advanced dancers, and professionals, in endless loops and without prior registration. If you want more, book one of the compact weekend workshops. The most compact offer applies to Discofox, Swing, Tango Argentino, and Salsa. In the WeekendWorkshops, you learn the dance of your choice anew or build upon existing skills in one weekend. These events are open not only to course participants but to everyone who wants to see the ballroom from the inside.
