At Chamäleon in Hackesche Höfe in Berlin-Mitte, acrobatics, humor, and poetry merge to become the magic of New Circus.

The theater hall of Chamäleon in Hackesche Höfe in Berlin, built as a ballroom in 1907, has 268 seats. Where balls took place in the Berlin twenties, New Circus now has its stage, a concept developed in Canada and France, combining variety, acrobatics, music, show, humor, and poetry.

Due to the history of the building, there is no fixed stage, but a variable, assembleable and dismountable stilts stage that can be adapted to the shows and productions. The artistic direction of Chamäleon watches shows all over the world; the best are brought to Berlin and adapted for the venue.

For about two hours (with an intermission), guests and visitors of the productions surrender to the magic on stage, where enormous physical control, imagination, light, and music do their part to maintain the magic. The shows are not moderated but follow their own dramaturgy. There are two main shows and, in between, small special guest performances on holidays such as Easter or Pentecost.
