Motorcycle sidecar city tour: A maximum of two guests ride along, one in the open sidecar, one behind the driver. The helmet has an intercom system. Through Berlin in a Sidecar
Berlin Sidecar Tours has been operating since mid-2026, introducing a type of vehicle to Berlin sightseeing that was not previously available here: the motorcycle sidecar. A maximum of two guests participate per tour, one in the open sidecar and one on the pillion seat; all rides are accordingly private tours. The helmet is included in the price and equipped with a Bluetooth intercom system, so explanations can be heard despite the wind. The tours are driven and guided by Rainer Unruh, who has lived in Berlin since 1976, works as a certified city guide, and spent three decades as a police reporter before that – the stories told along the way reflect this. The meeting and ending point for all tours is the historic traffic light at Potsdamer Platz. Upon request, a 360-degree video of your ride is available afterwards. The sidecar is open, meaning there is no window between the guest and the city – therefore, weather-appropriate clothing is advisable in autumn and winter. Because only one vehicle is on the road at any given time, each tour is arranged individually; group bookings for multiple sidecars are not available.
Five Routes from Compact to Exclusive
The shortest route is called Compact, lasts one and a half hours, and leads past the Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, and Bebelplatz to the TV Tower; it costs 75 Euros for one person and 130 Euros for two people. The Classic Tour takes two and a half hours, additionally includes the Victory Column and the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, drives for over a kilometer along the Berlin Wall, and ends at the East Side Gallery, for 125 or 200 Euros respectively. Students and seniors pay a reduced price on both tours. Those with more time can choose between the West Route to Spandau Citadel and the East Route via Karl-Marx-Allee to the Stasi Museum in Lichtenberg with Berlin Sidecar Tours, both three and a half hours long. The five-hour Exclusive Tour can be freely customized, for example, to Potsdam and Sanssouci. Bookings are made online up to two days before the date, paid via Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Klarna. In case of rain, the tour is canceled and the money is refunded.
