Sputnik Kino

Sputnik Kino

A little hidden, actually in the third backyard of Höfe am Südstern in Kreuzberg, you will find the small, relaxed arthouse-cinema which has long turned into an institution. In 2013 the Sputnik Kino celebrated its 25th anniversary.

This small repertory cinema screens a balanced mix of international arthouse hits, new German movies and cineastic insider's tips. As host cinema of the BRITISH SHORTS, the Sputnik has an established place in the Berlin Film Festival community. Quite legendary is their OPEN SCREENING, the uncensored forum for amateur film makers and professionals alike. However, you can also enjoy concerts and authors' readings in Berlin's highest cinema.

By the way: Once you've made it to the 5th floor, you will be rewarded with a spectacular view from one of their balconies. Quite unique in theatre 1 are the stone-built rows of seats where they also have two-person seats for couples.
