In Neukölln, on Nobelstraße, escape room fans dive into four themed rooms based on 80s movies: Ghost-Blasters, Back To The Beginning, Nakatomi Tower, and The Strange Thing. The operator of 80s Movie Escape runs three other Berlin locations with a total of 16 rooms and a game on the Müggelspree – returning customers are rewarded with a dedicated bonus program.

The Eighties to Touch in Neukölln

Nobelstraße in Neukölln is not a typical escape room address. However, behind inconspicuous doors, cult films and 80s atmosphere await groups who want more than a mundane game of cops and robbers. The 80s Movie Escape is located in a back building that from the outside hardly reveals what’s happening inside. Those who enter Nobelstraße 29 change the decade.

Four Rooms, Four Decade Classics

The four themed rooms are called Ghost-Blasters, Back To The Beginning, Nakatomi Tower, and The Strange Thing. Each room tells a different story. In Ghost-Blasters, you’ve started your own ghost-hunting agency, and the big assignment comes promptly: ghosts have appeared in the library, causing a stir in the city. In Nakatomi Tower, terrorists have taken hostages, John McClane is already eliminating them but needs help – the group must defuse the bomb and free the hostages. The Strange Thing takes you to a shadow world because a boy has gone missing, and the group is looking for clues to his disappearance.

The DeLorean is in the Room

However, the absolute most striking piece of the 80s Movie Escape can be found in the Back To The Beginning room. The game based on the film trilogy features a real DeLorean. Doc Brown has collected souvenirs from the past and future but missed the date when hiding them – now a dramatic break in the timeline threatens, and the group must find all time-travel memorabilia before Marty McFly arrives. The fact that a walkable DeLorean stands in the room is not a prop from a hardware store, but actually one of the strongest arguments for this provider in the Berlin escape room comparison.

All four rooms run for 60 minutes and can be booked daily from 10:00 to 23:00. The rooms are designed for 2 to 8 people. For four or more players, the game costs 25 Euros per person; two people pay from 59.90 Euros together. The operator runs locations in Neukölln, Kaulsdorf, Köpenick, and Strausberg – with a total of 16 rooms and, as a special extra in the portfolio, an escape game on the Müggelspree, where the group follows clues, determines the course, and leads the captain to the hidden treasure. Those who book multiple times also benefit from a bonus program for regular guests* – an incentive that is not a given in the Berlin escape room scene.
