Berlin's only covered indoor skatepark, open 363 days a year, is located on the RAW grounds in Friedrichshain. Anyone looking for a speed kick in the city will sooner or later end up here: on over 1,600 m² of concrete, ramps, and authentic skate culture.

Skatehalle Berlin: Skateboarding Mecca on the RAW Grounds

As the capital’s only covered skatepark, Skatehalle Berlin offers the skate community an extraordinary home 363 days a year. What that specifically means: no weather in the world keeps anyone from skateboarding here. The 1,600 m² hall in Friedrichshain has made a name for itself not least because of Germany’s largest indoor halfpipe and numerous international skate events. The hall offers skaters and BMX riders of all experience levels the appropriate infrastructure. Professional athletes from all over the world, the German Olympic squad, but also beginner skaters or skaters in wheelchairs use the hall equally.

More than just Skateboarding: Activities, Workshops, and Community

The hall features a 1,200 m² street area, a park area, and an outdoor skate area with a covered mini ramp, a café, its own cinema, an outdoor bar, and a skate shop. This means the offerings go far beyond a mere sports venue. Since July 1, 2020, it has been operated by the non-profit Skate RAW gGmbH, which means that all revenues are reinvested and flow directly into the skate community. In addition to skate sessions and workshops for kids and adults, numerous youth cultural projects in the areas of language promotion, art, and culture also take place. A session usually lasts two to three hours; tickets can be conveniently booked online and cost between 4 and 6 Euros, depending on the duration. Current slot times and any deviations can best be checked directly on the website.
