Karls Erlebnis-Dorf und Erdbeerhof

Red strawberries, tractor ride, and over 60 attractions: Karls Adventure Village in Elstal near Wustermark, directly in Havelland, is probably the most famous family excursion destination in the Berlin 'Speckgürtel' (commuter belt). From the free petting zoo to the large indoor play area, the adventure farm turns a simple day trip to Brandenburg into a whole adventure camp.
Karls Adventure Village and Strawberry Farm: Farm meets Amusement Park
Anyone heading to Brandenburg with children will sooner or later inevitably end up in Elstal. Karls Adventure Village near Wustermark is one of the most popular excursion destinations for families in the Berlin-Brandenburg region. While strawberries are ubiquitous, they are by no means the only thing that matters. Over 60 attractions spark a thirst for adventure and make children’s eyes light up, and the offering is deliberately designed for all age groups. Little ones can romp on bouncy cushions and playgrounds, while the large indoor play area with a ball pit, climbing frames, and a small go-kart track reliably works even in bad weather. There is also a small petting zoo and various adventure playgrounds for free. If you want more, simply book the tractor ride.
Seasonal Program and Practical Information
What makes Karls so special is the fact that the program changes throughout the year. In spring, there’s spring bread; in summer, new attractions; in October, the spooky Halloween Adventure Village; and in winter, cozy meeting points with strawberry mulled wine. There are also glass manufactories, such as a jam kitchen, petting zoos, carousels, and regional products centered around strawberries and rural life. Most recently, the strawberry kebab in Elstal also caused a stir, with an entire themed world even created around it. Entry to the grounds is generally free. The day ticket for Elstal costs 12 Euros and allows unlimited use of all paid attractions; those who come more often opt for the annual pass for 33 Euros, which is valid at all adventure villages. The strawberry farm is located directly on the B5 behind Spandau and can be reached from Berlin in about 30 minutes. If you don’t have a car: The so-called ‘Strawberry Shuttle’ runs directly from Berlin Zoologischer Garten to the Adventure Village.
