Brandenburg's largest nature adventure park awaits just under 30 kilometers southwest of Berlin in Beelitz-Heilstätten: On 15 hectares of forest, young and old walk barefoot through mud, over pine cones and cold water. Here, families can experience pure nature, entirely without shoes.

Barefoot Park Beelitz-Heilstätten: Shoes off, senses on

Brandenburg’s largest nature adventure park is located directly next to the Beelitz-Heilstätten Treetop Walk and is one of the most popular excursion destinations in Brandenburg for families with children. The generously designed park consists of four barefoot routes that extend throughout the entire area, connecting over 70 experience stations. The path is designed to adapt to the pace and stamina of each family. The paths lead through deciduous, pine, and birch forests, making them pleasantly shady even in mid-summer. While the Red and Yellow paths offer a particularly large number of attractions for children, the blue paths are more for relaxation and balance.

On four courses, feet can explore exciting surfaces: muddy clay and calf-deep mud, but also fine sand, water, or pine cones. Those who are brave even walk over fine shards of glass. Don’t worry: the rounded shards do not cut. In addition, there is always a bypass path at more challenging sections. Children aged 4 and up can explore the stations independently, and babies can be easily pushed through the park in a stroller.

More than just barefoot paths: A family day full of discoveries

Along the paths, nature adventure stations invite discovery: test skill and endurance at the sand pendulum, ball labyrinth, or group xylophone, balance on the vibrating beam, and sharpen senses at sniffing and tactile boxes, sound spheres, or the tree telephone. Thus, the excursion becomes a children’s outing of a special kind in Brandenburg. In addition to the stations, the park also features two cafés, picnic areas, a herb garden, an adventure playground, and a soft-serve ice cream machine. Special offers are available for children’s groups: whether it’s children’s birthdays, school inaugurations, or class trips, the event team is happy to create individual offers.

Those who wish to travel by public transport can easily get there by train. Regional Express RE 7 stops several times daily at Beelitz-Heilstätten train station. The 2026 season runs from April 25th to September 27th, Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:00, and on weekends until 19:00. Current admission prices can be found directly on the park website.
