In the Uckermark near Templin, one of Brandenburg's most popular family destinations awaits: EL DORADO, the Western town on Lake Röddelin. On seven hectares, everything revolves around cowboys, stunt shows, and a true Wild West spirit. Children can become part of the story here all day long.
Wild West right outside Berlin: What families can expect in EL DORADO
Since July 2006, EL DORADO Templin has enriched the list of excursion destinations in Brandenburg. What began as a Western park has developed into one of the most famous family destinations in the Berlin area. On the 7-hectare park grounds, visitors immerse themselves in past times and become part of their very own Western story. This works astonishingly well; just walking through the palisade gate feels like a time warp.
A faithfully recreated Western town including a saloon and bank, traditional craftsmen, and a Western stunt show promise a lot of adventure for the whole family. Especially for children, the program is varied: carriage rides, archery, pony rides, buffalo hunting, gold panning, axe throwing, and bull riding are part of the offer. What we find particularly nice: Every Sunday, children learn exciting stunts in the stunt workshop and even shoot their own short film.
In addition, there are daily live shows. In the Indian show arena, you can observe exciting bison hunts, traditional tracking, and spiritual Native American dances. The El Dorado Stunt Crew has participated in international film productions. Their shows are therefore among the most popular in Europe. If you get hungry, you can take a break with a meal in the Saloon or the Beaver Lodge. For a visit, you should ideally plan five to six hours.
Prices & Arrival: How to get to EL DORADO
The day ticket for adults costs 17 Euros, children between 4 and 16 years pay 14 Euros. Children up to 3 years have free admission. A large family ticket is available from 59 Euros. Furthermore: Birthday children of all ages get free admission to the park upon presentation of their ID.
EL DORADO is located directly on Lake Röddelin, about 55 km north of Berlin, nestled in the Uckermark region. By car from Berlin, it takes about 1.5 hours via the Berliner Ring A10 or the A11 motorway. A large car park is available free of charge. Since EL DORADO is a seasonal excursion destination and primarily opens on weekends and during holiday periods, it’s worth checking the official website beforehand.
