At Friedrichstrasse in Berlin-Mitte, Bocca di Bacco has been serving high-level classic Italian cuisine for over two decades. A Wilhelminian-era facade outside, an elegant restaurant with a bar and lounge inside, homemade pasta, and an Enoteca with around 500 wines.

Bocca di Bacco: Italy’s Soul on Friedrichstrasse

The story behind this upscale Italian restaurant is familial: From the 1960s, father Massimo Mannozzi ran a high-class Italian restaurant in Berlin-Charlottenburg. His son Alessandro has continued this culinary tradition since 2001 at Bocca di Bacco. The restaurant is thus one of the few establishments on Friedrichstrasse that consistently upholds the standards of sophisticated Italian cuisine. Housed in a majestic Wilhelminian-era building in Berlin-Mitte, guests experience a successful blend of turn-of-the-century elegance and Italian design.

The restaurant is also a favorite spot for celebrities and offers high-quality Tuscan specialties. Hollywood stars such as George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon have been guests here. The pasta is homemade.

Classic Cuisine, Exceptional Wine Selection

The menu is kept rather small but offers fresh and high-quality products. For example, tortelli filled with wild boar ragout and Taggiasche olives or risotto with Castelmagno cheese, oregano, and Pioppini mushrooms are served. The wine selection is impressively large: Bocca di Bacco has an Enoteca with around 500 wines from renowned Italian wineries. If you can’t decide, you should trust the service team. On weekdays until 3 PM, there is also a two- and three-course business lunch menu, while the Club Lounge on the upper floor is available for private dining.
