Neapolitan pizza is currently very popular in Berlin! At the restaurant Zola in Berlin-Kreuzberg Neapolitan pizza is authentically baked to crispy perfection within seconds in the authentic dome from southern Italy at 450 degrees. The tavern like Pizzeria Zola can be reached via a backyard and is rather reduced but very comfortably furnished. The lively restaurant makes you instantly feel at home. The central element of the Zola is the impressively large, wood-fired pizza oven from Naples, in which the pizzas are ready-baked in 90 seconds.

The interior is bright and friendly. The stone walls are white and untreated, the window sills are made of wood, the furniture consists of white wooden tables and chairs. Candles are stuck in wax-covered bottle necks and create a cosy atmosphere. Pizza creations are served with freshest ingredients like buffalo mozzarella, fruity tomatoes, walnuts, capers, anchovies or olives. There is also a small selection of wines. The selection on the menu is kept manageable, but you won’t miss anything and the prices are absolutely fair for the location.

The Zola spreads a pleasant industrial charm and attracts besides tourists above all many regular visitors from the neighbourhood. Although the Zola has Polish owners, the pizza is still typically Italian and one of the best in town.
