Right on the Landwehrkanal in Kreuzberg, Defne Restaurant has been serving Turkish-Mediterranean cuisine for almost two decades at a level far beyond typical kebab offerings. Homemade mezze, Alinazik, and spicy octopus in a warm, relaxed atmosphere on Planufer.

Since 1892, the Marheineke Markthalle in the Bergmannkiez has represented what Kreuzberg is all about: down-to-earthness, cosmopolitanism, and quality under one roof. Across approximately 2,500 m², regional organic products meet international street food stalls, fresh pasta meets Turkish börek, and Greek cuisine meets Arabian specialties.

For decades a firm address in Kreuzberg: The Gorgonzola Club at Dresdener Straße 121 stands for uncomplicated Italian cuisine, candlelight, white tablecloths, and pasta dishes that impress without frills.

Kreuzberg's Bi Nuu is owned by the same people as the Lido and the Astra. Their third venue stands out with Indie Rock concerts of unknown bands and the "Rap on Wednesday" event.

The Tomasa is one of the highlights of Berlin's breakfast cafés. On Valentine's Day 2019, the Valentine's menu "Heart and Arrow" will be offered.
