Friedrichshain

Patrick and Ariane have been running Salt Berlin as a family business since 2012, operating under this name since 2021 and located near Boxhagener Platz. Over 600 items hang in a shop that, with its wooden pallets and clean lines, looks more like a design store. Among Berlin's vintage stores, this one features the most contemporary labels.

Salt Berlin: Vintage Store at Boxhagener Platz

The small shop at Grünberger Straße 87 in Friedrichshain, with its clothes rails and light wooden pallets, looks more like a design store than a second-hand shop. This is no coincidence, but rather a concept. Patrick and Ariane have been running the family business since 2012; from 2013 to 2021, it operated under the name Sometimes Coloured before the shop was renamed and moved to its current location near Boxhagener Platz. The pieces here are neither too quirky nor too old, but rather selected and in good condition. Boxhagener Platz itself is just a few steps away, with a Sunday flea market and surrounding cafes.

Designer Brands and Contemporary Items in the Assortment

The assortment is clearly positioned and ranges from contemporary labels to designer brands. Specifically, you’ll find pieces from Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Moschino, Filippa K, and Samsoe & Samsoe. For labeled designer items, Salt Berlin is one of the most reliable addresses in Friedrichshain. Over 600 garments are available, from sneakers to leather handbags. Additionally, there’s a second shop: The Black Edition is located opposite at Grünberger Straße 90 and exclusively offers monochrome pieces. Together, the two locations cover a range that would otherwise require two separate visits to different neighborhoods.
