A speciality of the small tea shop “Tee und Ton” in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg is Matcha tea. Matcha tea is a particularly fine type of powdered green tea, which is prepared with a so-called Matcha broom made of bamboo (also available as an accessory at “Tee und Ton”). Owner Thi Anh Nguyen has three to four different Matcha varieties on stock in her shop.
The boss answers all questions about this Japanese tea speciality and the other tea varieties offered competently and lovingly. After all, there are so many different types of tea – to suit every weather and mood. Of course, individual varieties can also be tasted on site.
The shop’s product range also includes high-quality teapots and tea sets from Japan and China. Selected sweets such as green tea sweets, tea biscuits and fine chocolates are also available.
