The Camper Store on Neue Schönhauser Straße carries the women's collection of the Mallorcan brand, from the round Pelotas made of vegetable-tanned leather for 220 euros to the Brutus ankle boot for 199 euros. Camper has been designing in Inca since 1975 and takes back worn pairs via ReCamper. Women's sizes usually range from 35 to 42.

Camper on Neue Schönhauser Straße: Spanish Women’s Shoes in Mitte

The Camper Store is located at Neue Schönhauser Straße 11, on the short stretch between Hackescher Markt and Rosenthaler Platz, which has been one of the city’s densest shopping areas for years. It’s just under one hundred and fifty meters from Weinmeisterstraße subway station and a good two hundred meters from Hackescher Markt S-Bahn station. Parking here is expensive, as the Mitte parking zone is the only one in Berlin that is managed on Sundays, and until midnight. Since 1975, Camper has belonged to the Fluxà family in Mallorca, whose shoe history dates back to 1877 and who still design in Inca today. Around five hundred models are created there each season, of which the Berlin store showcases the women’s and men’s lines as well as pieces from the more experimental Camperlab series. Neue Schönhauser Straße is short, but densely built with flagship stores and small labels, and Camper is located right in the middle of an old building with a high window front. The brand’s store concept is called Walk in Progress.

Pelotas, Brutus, and a Take-Back Program for Worn Pairs

Inside, the brand’s classics stand side-by-side, immediately recognizable by their soles. The round Pelotas are available as the Ariel model made of vegetable-tanned cowhide for 220 euros, while the Brutus ankle boot made of one hundred percent cowhide costs 199 euros. The women’s assortment usually ranges from size 35 to 42, and the inner lining of many models is made from recycled PET. If you can’t decide, you can book a personal shopper before your visit, a service also offered by the store. More interesting for those who want to wear shoes for a long time is the ReCamper program: Worn Camper shoes can be returned to the store for a voucher, collected pairs are used to create the ReCrafted line, and ReWalk offers second-hand models. Among women’s shoe stores in Berlin, Camper is thus the address for design that focuses on durability rather than seasonal changes. It is also practical that online orders can be picked up in the store, which for a brand with so many lasts and sole shapes has the advantage that you can exchange them directly on site if the size doesn’t fit. Those who want to see the more experimental side of the brand will find it in the same neighborhood on Torstraße.
