Rotation Boutique: Curated Fashion at Rosenthaler Platz

It all began in 2003 with rotating vinyl records: Rotation Records was one of the leading record stores in Berlin’s techno and house scene. After a decade, the concept evolved, and today, Rotation stands for a carefully selected fashion assortment. The concept store is located in Berlin-Mitte at Rosenthaler Platz and spans approximately 80 square meters, making it anything but a department store.

Curated, Not Cluttered

The assortment includes over 25 selected brands, including goods made from organic cotton and GOTS-certified items. Many pieces are made from organically grown or recycled fibers, complemented by unique designs and attention to detail. The store follows a clear logic: it carries women’s and men’s fashion from brands that position themselves against short-term trend cycles and overproduction, opting instead for durable materials, transparent production processes, and timeless design.

Fashion That Lasts Longer

The focus here is on durability, well-considered purchasing decisions, and good information regarding materials and origin. Accordingly, items once selected are rarely returned. Many of the brands carried also work with recycled materials: new collections are created from recycled cotton, wool, or PET. Rotation Boutique thus demonstrates that a small, concentrated assortment can offer more choice than a fully stocked area.
