Filterhaus Werder: Event Location with History by the Water

The Filterhaus is located directly on the Havel, on the grounds of the old Vulkan Fiber shipyard in Werder (Havel). What looks like a tranquil Brandenburg idyll from the outside reveals itself inside as a well-thought-out overall concept. The historic Filterhaus is an outstanding architectural monument with a distinctive wooden structure openly visible in the dining area. Added to this is a mix of traditional half-timbering, old chandeliers, and modern elements, centered around the 360-degree copper bar.

As an event location, the Filterhaus Werder offers considerable flexibility. Up to 150 guests can be accommodated under the listed half-timbered roof, with another 100 people in the conservatory, which can be fully opened in summer. There is also a boat pier: The harbor is directly on the Havel, moorings available for boats up to 15m in length. So, you can even arrive by boat. Furthermore, the entire location is barrier-free, both indoors and outdoors.

Corporate Events, Weddings, and Birthdays

The Filterhaus Werder rents its spaces for corporate events, conferences, and team-building as well as for private celebrations, from weddings to milestone birthdays. The ambiance is chic: the areas can be reconfigured depending on the occasion, the industrial architecture gives each event its character, and in winter, the glass fireplace provides warmth. A conservatory opens with a glass front, offering direct views of the water and making the location particularly stylish.

The location also shines with its own kitchen. A distillery operates on the premises – a partner company of the award-winning spirits firm SALTWATER’s, which produces gin and brandies exclusively for the Filterhaus directly on-site. These spirits can be incorporated into receptions and menus, from a sparkling wine reception for a wedding to a dinner for the staff. Thus, guests receive top-class rooms, facilities, and gastronomy all in one place.
