Filterhaus Werder: Event Location with History by the Water

The Filterhaus is located directly on the Havel, on the grounds of the old Vulkan Fiber shipyard in Werder (Havel). What looks like a tranquil Brandenburg idyll from the outside reveals itself to be a well-thought-out overall concept on the inside. The historic Filterhaus is an outstanding architectural monument with a striking wooden construction that is openly visible in the dining area. Added to this is a mix of traditional half-timbering, old chandeliers, and modern elements, centered around the 360-degree copper bar.

As an event location, Filterhaus Werder offers considerable flexibility. Up to 150 guests can be accommodated under the listed half-timbered architecture, with an additional 100 people in the winter garden, which can be fully opened in summer. There is also a boat jetty: the harbor is directly on the Havel, suitable for boats up to 15 m in length. This means you can even arrive by ship. Furthermore, the entire location is barrier-free, both indoors and outdoors.

Corporate Events, Weddings, and Birthdays

Filterhaus Werder rents its rooms for corporate events, conferences, and team-building activities, as well as for private celebrations, from weddings to milestone birthdays. The ambiance is chic: the spaces can be rearranged depending on the occasion, the industrial architecture gives each event its character, and in winter, the glass fireplace provides warmth. A winter garden opens up a direct view of the water through a glass front, making the location particularly stylish.

The location also shines with its own kitchen. A distillery operates on-site – a partner company of the award-winning spirits company SALTWATER’s, which produces gin and brandies directly on the premises. These spirits can be incorporated into receptions and menus, from sparkling wine receptions for weddings to dinners for the staff. Thus, guests receive top-class rooms, equipment, and gastronomy all in one place.
