Badehaus Berlin: Concerts in the Old Workers’ Bathhouse
The Badehaus is located on the RAW grounds in Friedrichshain, in the rooms of the former bathhouse for railway workers of the Reichsbahn repair yard. Rustic wooden floors, painted walls, and street art characterize the interior. All floors are on one level and accessible via ramps, a disabled toilet is available, and accompanying persons get in for free. The venue opened in 2011.
Main Floor, Sauna Floor and Terrace
Operations are spread across the main floor with a stage, the sauna floor in the former sauna area, and a terrace with its own bar, which opens outdoors in summer. The venue’s own sound system is considered its unique selling point. Musically, the program ranges from rap to golden-era reggae and dancehall, all the way to Afro-house, jazz, and metal. The place is also known for the Swag Jam, a live hip-hop session with an open-mic part that gives Berlin artists a stage. Smoking is not allowed indoors, but is permitted on the terrace for those aged 18 and over.
