Mini golf at Insulaner opened in 1964 and was then the largest facility in Berlin. Today, eighteen courses are located under old trees at the foot of Insulaner, gradually being renovated by new operators since 2025. For a team event in Berlin, the grill rental is particularly important: the venue provides charcoal and cutlery, the group brings the barbecue food.

The facility is located on Munsterdamm, directly at the foot of Insulaner and next to the Planetarium. If you come by S-Bahn, get off at Priesterweg station and walk for about ten minutes; by bus, you stop at the Insulaner station almost right at the entrance. The game is played entirely outdoors, under old trees, which makes the difference between shade and sweating on warm days.

Mini golf at Insulaner is not a new operation. The facility opened on June 13, 1964, and the Tagesspiegel newspaper wrote at the time that it was not only the largest but also unique in Berlin, and was referred to as “Bahnengolf” in expert circles. Since May 2025, new operators have been running the course and are renovating it step by step themselves to preserve its established charm. Eighteen courses are continuously playable, and a nineteenth alternate course ensures that never fewer are available, even during renovation work.

Team Event in the Green with Exclusive Rental and Grill Hire

There are two options for groups. Companies and organizations can rent the entire facility exclusively, so that a department has the place all to itself. If planning for a smaller group, simply reserve a table; the facility provides dishes, cutlery, and a tablecloth. For reservations, a minimum consumption fee of nine euros per adult applies, which is offset against drinks or the playing fee. A round itself costs five euros for adults, each additional round is one euro cheaper.

The main argument for a team event, however, is the grill rental. Charcoal, firelighters, and grill cutlery are provided by the house; the group only needs to bring their barbecue food. This turns a quick round into an entire afternoon, and at conditions that no event provider can beat. Board games are available for free, and a kiosk supplies the group with drinks and snacks. Because Mini Golf at Insulaner is outdoors, it is a venue for the warmer half of the year, and the season should be kept in mind when planning.
