The open air museum is in the middle of Tiergarten, reachable on foot from the Berlin Zoon. Especially under the very detailed lanterns with five flames, you will feel like a pair of lovebirds from the Wilhelmine area meeting for a secret encounter in park. The Wilhelmine era was when gas lights slowly replaced oil lamps in the street with their dim light.

By the way: Berlin still has about 44.000 gas lights operative, that’s about half of all gas lights in the world.
