Das Center am Potsdamer Platz

At Potsdamer Platz, where the Sony Center once brought football fans together, the heart of Berlin's football summer beats again for the 2026 World Cup. The Center at Potsdamer Platz will broadcast ten selected matches for free on Germany's largest 3D LED wall, mostly weather-protected under the iconic roof in Berlin-Mitte.
Public Viewing: The 2026 World Cup at the Center at Potsdamer Platz
Built in 2000 according to designs by renowned architect Helmut Jahn, the Center is a 113,000 square meter mixed-use building complex at Potsdamer Platz in the center of Berlin. The modern architectural icon attracts over seven million visitors annually. Public viewing is not new territory for the Center at Potsdamer Platz. As early as 2002 and 2006, the former Sony Center served as a meeting point for football fans. This year, for the 2026 World Cup, the Center is once again continuing this tradition: On the approximately 100 square meter front side of Germany’s largest 3D LED wall, ten selected matches will be broadcast live in 2D in the Center’s Forum, under the open sky and at the same time largely weather-protected under the fanned tent roof.
All Germany matches live and free
The program includes all three group matches of the German national team. In addition, the Center will show the opening match, both semi-finals and the final.A round of thirty-two, a round of sixteen, and a quarter-final with possible German participation are also planned. Admission is free, and seats are available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. So, those who arrive early enough will secure one of the approximately 250 seats in the event area or the additional seats on the terraces of the surrounding restaurateurs. Those who want to watch more World Cup matches will also find an offer at the Center: The KERB Berlin Foodhall, the Lindenbräu restaurant, and Monte Mente are also planning broadcasts. In addition, there will be bratwurst, pizza, and ice cream – the best conditions for a successful football evening.
