Ost-West Späti

While the GDR cinema Kosmos, also located on Karl-Marx-Allee, has now been converted into a congress center, films are still shown at Kino International. The interior still harks back to East German times: gigantic old chandeliers hang in the foyer, a silver glittering curtain covers the screen, and even the cinema posters are still hand-painted!

In addition to the regular program films shown here, parties are also held on weekends. The events are very LGBTQ+-friendly. Since the 90s, gay and lesbian film series have taken place, and Mondays are always Mongay.
