nhow Berlin in Friedrichshain is Europe's first music hotel and one of the city's most striking design hotels. Star designer Karim Rashid transformed all 304 rooms into futuristic worlds of color and form directly on the Spree, just a few minutes' walk from the East Side Gallery.
nhow Berlin: Where Architecture and Music Meet
The building itself is an eye-catcher: the upper floors with their gleaming metal facade spectacularly cantilever over the Spree. Inside, guests are greeted by an industrial design wonderland by Karim Rashid, whose wild colors and curvy shapes set an unmistakably futuristic tone. Depending on the location, you can choose between rooms in vibrant pink or cool blue, each a true design highlight. If you want more space, you’ll also find it: the nhow Executive Suite by Karim Rashid offers expansive views over Berlin from 90 m² in the iconic silver tower, an open living and sleeping area, and a private whirlpool.
While other hotels boast conference rooms, nhow highlights that it is the only European hotel with two private recording studios. However, the musical concept doesn’t stop there. Guitars, keyboards, or podcast equipment can be rented at the reception. This makes the stay an experience for music lovers, without even having to leave the room.
BPM Bar, Spree View, and the Pink Döner Phenomenon
During the day and in the evening, the BPM Bar serves top-notch street food dishes and cocktails, with a breathtaking view of the Spree and the Oberbaumbrücke. On the ground floor, the bar transforms into a culinary hotspot in the evenings, serving creative drinks alongside modern Berlin classics. This includes the legendary Pink Döner, which can only be found at nhow Berlin. After a long evening, a spa area with sauna, fitness center, and sun terrace is also available. Its location directly on the Spree, between Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, with the East Side Gallery and the Oberbaumbrücke in the immediate vicinity, makes nhow Berlin an address that captures the spirit of the East better than many a travel guide.
