Hotel Q! Berlin: Architecture as an Experience

Anyone looking for a design hotel in Berlin that doesn’t rely on cold aesthetics will sooner or later end up on Knesebeckstraße in Charlottenburg. The Berlin office GRAFT Architects has created an interior here that looks like a red cocoon made of environmentally friendly materials. The result is far more than just a visual statement. GRAFT designed a hotel landscape that challenges the typologically familiar spatial canon and instead proposes a folded topographical structure, following a tectonic logic. In concrete terms: beds seamlessly merge into bathtubs, offering themselves like hot springs rising from the ground. Walls and ceilings blend into organic curves, and the lighting stages everything in such a way that you feel more in a landscape than in a hotel room. All 77 elegant rooms and suites have been designed by the renowned GRAFT architects with flowing forms, clean and comfortable at the same time.

More than just an Overnight Stay: Spa, Fox Bar, and Location

Hotel Q! also impresses beyond its rooms. The restaurant uses its own herb garden, and the spa offers one of the most unusual hotel amenities ever with its heated sand room. If you don’t want to go to sleep yet in the evening, meet up in the Fox Bar: The public spaces are particularly bold, with organically curved surfaces of red linoleum and theatrical lighting. The Fox Bar looks like the backdrop of a fashion shoot. In summer, the green inner courtyard also opens. In the modern spa area, guests can expect a Japanese washing zone, a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, and a heated sand room. Little needs to be said about the location, except: it’s perfect. The hotel is just a few steps from Kurfürstendamm, and the Uhlandstraße subway station and Savignyplatz S-Bahn station are less than a five-minute walk away. Rightfully, Q! is currently one of the most booked hotels in the city on TripAdvisor: It ranks 1st out of 606 hotels in Berlin and was awarded the Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best 2025.
