The German Museum of Technology Berlin has come up with an exciting holiday program centered around technology for the winter holidays.

Winter Holidays at the German Museum of Technology

During the winter holidays, the German Museum of Technology becomes particularly lively: In addition to the permanent exhibition with trains, airplanes, and ships, the Science Center Spectrum opens its doors, where children can try out physical phenomena themselves at many stations – from flow to acoustics and optics.

At the Kids Digilab, everything revolves around the digital world: Here, children craft, program, and experiment with simple tools, playfully learning how technology behind apps, robots, and computers works. The Creative Workshop also regularly offers crafting activities for the whole family, where small technical models are created from simple materials.

Those who come with a school class or daycare group can additionally book the Junior Campus, which prepares topics like mobility and sustainability in a child-friendly way – but for a family visit during the holidays, a free tour through the exhibition and Science Center is perfectly sufficient.

The museum is located on Trebbiner Straße, directly next to Gleisdreieckpark, and is easily accessible by U-Bahn and S-Bahn – an excursion that offers a full afternoon’s program even in bad weather.
