ACTivity Drama School for Children and Teenagers

During the winter holidays, many children and teenagers are drawn to the camera or the stage – and the ACTivity Drama School is exactly the right place for that. Instead of a single holiday course, regular groups run here all year round, into which newcomers can join at any time with a free trial lesson before the holiday season really kicks off.

For children aged 8 and up, there is classic acting training that combines body work, voice, and improvisation. From age 12, a dedicated improvisation course is added, focusing on spontaneous reactions and free storytelling. Those who prefer to be in front of the camera rather than on stage will find the perfect complement in the camera acting workshop for 10- to 14-year-olds – it takes place on selected Saturday mornings and teaches the basics of screen acting.

Classes are taught by experienced acting, improvisation, and camera coaches in small, age-appropriate groups. No prior knowledge is required: curiosity, joy in trying things out, and a little courage in front of an audience are important. At the end of each course, there are small presentations where the children and teenagers can show what they have learned.

The drama school has now moved from Berlin to Potsdam and is directly accessible by tram. Anyone who wants to use the winter holidays to really try things out should register early for a trial lesson, as group sizes remain manageable.
