The museum village Düppel offers fun and interactive activities for the whole family in a medieval adventure village. A whole medieval village with real artisan houses, shaggy historical animal species such as Skudden sheep or willow groves and a center for experimental, medieval archeology are built in the open-air museum in Zehlendorf.
Here you can see how traditional craftsmanship like weaving looked like. Usually, the open air museum is closed in winter and starts again at Easter with a big Easter festival.
In addition to the normal museum business, there are always Sunday lectures on how tar is made of wood, on the life of the Neanderthals or on medieval children's games.
