The restaurant VAU at Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin-Mitte by star chef Kolja Kleeberg is permanently closed. A reopening at a new location is planned for 2017.

The famous restaurant VAU, that in 2016 successfully defended it’s Michelin star, has permanently closed. At the moment a new location is to be found. in 2017 star chef Kolja Kleeberg will open a new restaurant with a fresh concept: “simple dishes with genuine products”.

Chef and TV-star Kolja Kleeberg usually cooks above all with seasonal ingredients from the Berlin region. Turbot, lobster and ox beef play a major part in his creations.

Next to these down-to-earth ingredients you can also taste a mediterranean influence in his creations. He successfully practices his kitchen philosophy “Not more than 3 ingredients at the same time on the plate”.

Lunch between 15,00 - 18,00 euro per course; lunch menu from around 65,00 euro (3-course menu); dinner around 120,00 euro (6-course menu)
