In Berlin's Moabit government district, not far from the Chancellery, Restaurant Paris Moskau is located in a historic half-timbered house: a place that, since 1987, has combined French, German, and Russian culinary traditions into its own fine dining experience, with over 200 wines in its cellar and an unparalleled summer garden.

Restaurant Paris Moskau: History with Taste

Those looking for upscale gastronomy in Berlin will sooner or later find themselves in Moabit. The name Paris Moskau is both an allusion to the over 120-year-old railway connection between the two cities and to Berlin’s role as a link between East and West. Since 1987, the establishment has understood fine dining as its own definition: French, German, and Russian inspirations flow together, always fresh and with a seasonal focus. The building itself tells half the story. The ancient half-timbered house impresses with its stylish interior and charming atmosphere. Inside, constructivist wall and ceiling paintings divide the space, and three small, discreet rooms on the first floor are particularly suitable for celebrations. For those who prefer to sit outside: The summer garden accommodates 90 seats on two floors and offers ample space for personal arrangements.

Seasonal Cuisine and a Wine List with Depth

Head chef Stefan Osterberger stands for precision without pretense. He prepares delicate creations with fresh chanterelles with intuition and seasonal refinement. The five-person kitchen team daily ensures an exquisite culinary offering; all dishes are freshly prepared, and changing menus and a fine, seasonal card are part of the program. At lunchtime, there are changing business menus, à la carte dishes, and that certain something for meetings. In the evening, the menu can be expanded from a three-course to a six-course meal, with a suitable wine pairing upon request. The wine list includes more than 200 selections from over a dozen countries. Michelin has included Restaurant Paris Moskau in its selection and awarded it a black cutlery symbol for its particularly cozy atmosphere. It is hardly surprising, given all this, that prominent regular guests from culture, politics, and business appreciate the restaurant for informal meetings.
