Restaurant Buchholz Gutshof Britz: Michelin-Starred Chef Meets Manor House

After years in top gastronomy and as a Michelin-starred chef at the legendary “first floor”, Matthias Buchholz has established his restaurant at Gutshof Britz. The move from the metropolitan high-gloss establishment to the historic village center of Britz was not a retreat, but a clear decision. “My guests should sit down, relax, enjoy, feel comfortable,” says Matthias Buchholz. The food should not be a challenge, but simply delicious. What the season offers lands on the plate: upscale country house cuisine with traditional dishes from the best regional ingredients, with the seasonal offerings determining the menu.

Upscale Gastronomy in the Green

In the former Swiss House on the listed grounds of Gutshof Britz, the restaurant offers its guests upscale country house cuisine. Buchholz Gutshof Britz combines historic architecture, blooming gardens, and a cuisine that returns to its roots. Homemade soups, finest cakes, and seasonal country dishes are served on the sunny terrace or in the tastefully converted stable rooms. In addition, there is regularly more to discover: The restaurant regularly offers events, cooking classes, and a seasonal menu, with exclusive kitchen parties for larger groups also part of the offerings. For those looking for a three-course menu that is worth its price: The three-course menu is already available for €29 (as of April 2025). The manor is nestled in the historic village center of Britz, very close to the beautiful Britzer Garden, inviting you for a stroll after your meal.
