Located directly at Brunnenstraße in Berlin-Mitte you can find tak tak polish deli which offers delicious and organic Polish dishes. The most popular dish are the pirogi which come along in four different variations – three of them are vegetarian. The pirogi include fillings like beetroot, goat cheese and capers or turkey, dried tomato and feta. Don’t know which ones to try? No problem – you can get a mixed plate so you can try all of them, too. The steamed pirogi are served with melted butter, sour cream and roasted onions.

The deli also offers fresh soups – some of them are even vegan. The beetroot soup (Barszcz Czerwony) is served cold and in a glass and is usually ordered along with pirogi. Another must try is the stew called Bigos – a national dish with different kinds of meat, cabbage and mushrooms. If you’re craving a dessert you can try the sweet pirogi.

Yes, the menu seems cleared out and the restaurant isn’t the biggest one, but the window front makes it pretty bright and friendly. When the weather is good you can choose the seats outsides on the sidewalk. It might not be the most idyllic place on earth, but the food makes it all worthwhile.
