Ensō Studio
The Ensō Studio sits in the former post office on Bölschestraße in Friedrichshagen, right across from the S-Bahn station and a few minutes from Müggelsee. Yin, Restorative and QiGong share the schedule with Vinyasa and Pilates, and there is a massage room of its own plus a lounge with freshly brewed tea for afterwards.
From the Post Office to the Yoga Room, Two Hundred Meters from Müggelsee
Füsun Folger worked for many years as an HR specialist and executive before opening her own studio in 2016. The initial idea was to bring yoga to where people constantly have to perform, i.e., into the world of work; this evolved into an open space for very different lifestyles. The building on Bölschestraße was once the post office of Friedrichshagen and is located directly opposite the S-Bahn station; Müggelsee is just a few minutes’ walk away. Inside, the space is industrially furnished and organized around a lounge where freshly brewed tea is always available. There are separate changing rooms with showers and hair dryers, lockers with a key system, and a dedicated, deliberately quiet massage room. Mats, straps, blankets, blocks, and bolsters are provided free of charge, so you don’t need to bring anything. The studio works with a fixed team of teachers, and the groups are small enough that corrections genuinely reach everyone.
Yin, Restorative, and QiGong for Those Who Don’t Want to Perform
The course schedule covers both directions. On one side are Vinyasa Flow, Pilates, Movement, and Zumba for those who want to exert themselves, and on the other, Yin, Restorative, and QiGong – precisely the formats focused on letting go rather than performing. Additionally, there are pre- and postnatal classes, offerings for children and teenagers, workshops, teacher trainings, and corporate yoga. In the massage room, Lomi Lomi, aromatherapy oil massages, and an explicitly named anti-stress massage can be booked, the latter starting from 67 Euros. Those who wish to come regularly can get a membership, starting at 54 Euros per month for four classes; single tickets are also available, but their prices are not openly published online. The combination of both is particularly pleasant: first a quiet hour on the mat, then a walk along the shores of Müggelsee, which takes less than fifteen minutes from the studio’s doorstep. For arrival, take the S3 to Friedrichshagen, then just cross the street; tram lines 60 and 61 also stop nearby.
