The Baergarten is located in Niederschöneweide on the grounds of the Bärenquell brewery, where the last brew ran in 1994, followed by almost twenty-five years of standstill. Today, it offers Neapolitan pizza from the stone oven starting from 10.00 Euros, a small stage, and a beer garden. The venue shows 'Tatort' on a screen indoors with free admission.
Baergarten: “Tatort” at the Bärenquell Brewery Grounds
The Baergarten is located in Niederschöneweide on Schnellerstraße, on the premises of the former Bärenquell brewery. The brewery was founded in 1882 as Brauerei Borussia, received the name Bärenquell in 1959, and the last brew ran here in 1994. Afterwards, the listed site stood empty for almost twenty-five years before events moved in again. Today, the path leads across the courtyard to a beer garden with trees and long tables; the Schöneweide S-Bahn station is just a few minutes away.
The interior is rustically furnished, with plenty of seating, a bar, and a small stage. Neapolitan pizza comes from the stone oven; the Margherita costs 10.00 Euros, the Funghi 11.50 Euros. Fresh beer is available on tap.
Crime Thriller on the Screen Indoors
The Baergarten shows “Tatort” on a screen indoors, so the evening takes place even in bad weather. No admission is charged for this; only individual special events on the premises cost something. Payment can be made in cash or contactless by card, and reservations can be made via a form or by email.
The premises are entirely at ground level, leashed dogs are welcome, and children are welcome. However, a note from the establishment states that music can be very loud at times. There are no parking spaces on the premises; bicycles can be locked up outside. In addition to the crime series, the program includes poetry slams, bar quizzes, and bingo nights.
