Junction Café

The Junction Café on Gneisenaustraße is one of the few Berlin 'Tatort' pubs that firmly schedules the Sunday crime series in its own calendar, alongside Bundesliga and Champions League. Broadcasts are shown on a big screen in the long dining area, accompanied by burgers, wraps, and nachos. Reservations for broadcasts are only taken by phone and at least one day in advance.

The Junction Café is located on Gneisenaustraße in Kreuzberg, directly at the U7 subway station of the same name, making it easily accessible. From the street, the path leads into a long dining room, which is deliberately unfussily furnished: simple tables, subdued lighting, plenty of space for groups. The establishment is part of the Junction Bar’s environment and shares its preference for evenings when something is happening.

The menu features burgers, wraps, and nachos, along with a wide selection of cold and hot drinks. Food is cooked fresh daily, and prices remain in the low to mid-range. The back part of the room can be used for birthdays and regulars’ tables.

Among Berlin’s ‘Tatort’ pubs, the Junction Café is one of the few that firmly schedules the Sunday crime series in its own event calendar, on equal footing with Bundesliga, Champions League, and DFB-Pokal. Broadcasts are shown on a big screen in the dining area, so that something can be seen even from the back tables.

The team accepts reservations for broadcasts exclusively by phone and asks to be contacted at least one day in advance. On busy evenings, this is not a mere formality; spontaneous visitors should arrive early enough. Occasionally, speed dating evenings are also on the calendar, bringing an audience beyond sports fans to the establishment.
