Charlie’s Beach is located on Friedrichstrasse, directly next to Checkpoint Charlie, transforming one of the city’s most historically charged locations into a relaxed beach bar. On approximately 1,500 square meters of sand, visitors will find loungers, benches, and tables inviting them to relax. Entry is free, and the season runs from April to October, daily from 11:00 to 23:00. This makes Charlie’s Beach one of Berlin’s most accessible beach bars.

The bar’s offerings range from cold beer to wine and long drinks, as well as cocktails like Mojitos and Prosecco. Those who come hungry will also find what they’re looking for: street food is the focus, including various types of Currywurst, burgers, and tarte flambée. Additionally, Woop Woop Ice Cream has a permanent stand on the premises. This allows for a culinary relaxed afternoon.

From Thursday to Saturday, Berlin DJs play sets, though outside the chart mainstream. The beach bar also functions as an open-air gallery for metal artist Zeki Turan, giving the place an artistic touch.
