KochRaum Instinct on Yorckstraße is a cooking studio, dinner club, and event location spanning approximately one hundred square meters. In Kamel Haddad's open show kitchen, up to 14 seated guests can cook along, while flying dinners accommodate up to 40. As a team event in Berlin, a kitchen naturally assigns roles, and in the end, the team eats what they cooked together.

KochRaum Instinct on Yorckstraße: Event Location for Team Events in Kreuzberg

KochRaum Instinct is located on Yorckstraße in Kreuzberg, one of the axes where commerce, old buildings, and railway arches alternate. From the outside, little indicates that behind it lies a space of approximately one hundred square meters, which is simultaneously a cooking studio, dinner club, and event location. The establishment explicitly does not see itself as a restaurant, but as a place where guests themselves stand at the stove. The house can arrange a suitable selection of drinks upon request.

At its heart is a fully equipped show kitchen, openly situated in the space so that all participants can see what is happening. Responsible for the kitchen is Kamel Haddad, who has an international background as a Chef de Cuisine. The interior design and event planning, from the first inquiry to table decoration, are handled by Dora Jasmin Belkacem. This dual role explains why KochRaum Instinct feels more like a designed apartment than a classroom kitchen.

Cooking Together as Teambuilding for up to 14 People

For companies, the space is interesting in two sizes. Up to 14 people can be seated, while a standing “flying dinner” accommodates up to 40 guests. The monthly Dinner Club, where a multi-course menu is served for a maximum of twelve guests, shows what the house is designed for: small gatherings where no one is left on the sidelines.

As a team event, cooking together works well for a simple reason. While bowling sees the athletic colleagues leading, a kitchen naturally distributes tasks: someone cuts, someone stirs, someone sets the table, and in the end, the group eats what they produced together. The courses last approximately four hours and are led by a professional chef, in German, English, or French. For international teams in Berlin, this is a distinct advantage. Company events, workshops, and Christmas parties are individually calculated, and those who prefer to be cooked for instead of cooking themselves can book catering instead.
