Big cinema at Zoo Palast! The elaborately restored, traditional Berlin cinema shows sophisticated entertainment and family films.
Film palace with seven auditoriums at the Zoo
Elaborately restored and equipped with modern technology, the Zoo Palast awaits film fans and cineastes with seven auditoriums. The film palace primarily shows sophisticated entertainment and family films. The interior – newly interpreted – harks back to old glories. Boxes with service, ample seating with plenty of legroom, a cloakroom in the foyer, a film lounge and a cocktail-espresso bar offer special cinema comfort.
Incidentally, the Zoo Palast, built in 1957 for the International Film Festival, is one of Berlin’s most important architectural monuments, for whose preservation the State Monument Council advocated. Thus, the palace today is a homage to the great era of film theaters of the 50s and 60s and their stylish architecture in combination with contemporary comfort. For the glamorous reopening in 2013, many celebrities and a special guest attended: acting legend Lilo Pulver, who was already present at the opening in 1957!
