The musician and artist Peaches has designed a comprehensive work over the past 20 years centered around music, performance and a multimedia game of symbols. With her music, she brings thousands to dance in the clubs around the world and traditionally appropriates masculine-connoted genres such as rock, punk, heavy metal and rap. Her explicit lyrics on body images, gender trouble and social inequality read like postmodern poetry. As a master of uncompromising avant-garde popularization, she has made sex-positive feminism sociable on the concert stages of the world. With THERE’S ONLY ONE PEACH WITH THE HOLE IN THE MIDDLE, she creates a futuristic stage happening with almost 40 musicians and performers. Peaches lyrics are about social inequality, body image, gender and age equality read like postmodern poetry, and her concerts are both highly explosive and immersive, combining music, sound, fashion and visual and live arts. She is inspired by the 70s variety shows of LGBTQI+ icons such as Bette Midler and Liza Minelli.
