Kiting on Teufelsberg

Fall is time for kiting - always a hit with children of all ages. The Teufelsberg with its 120 metres of height is the ideal place for it!
Not only will you have excellent kiting conditions on the hilltop, also the view is quite spectacular. Beyond Grunewald and the Havel you can even spot the TV Tower on the horizon.
The area which today is known as Teufelsberg was originally piled up from 12 million cubic metres of war debris and rubble. Later on, the American military operated an important listening post and radar station there. Next to kiting, some of the activities on Teufelsberg include tobogganing in winter, cycling, paragliding, climbing or hiking.
On New Year’s eve you may look for a secluded spot on the hill to watch the fireworks in the city.
