In the heart of Marzahn, hidden amidst pre-fabricated buildings and high-rises, lies one of Berlin's best steak restaurants. Steakhaus Marzahn stands for exceptional meat quality on an international level, attracting guests from all over the city.
What’s on the menu: Wagyu, Angus, and Argentine Steaks in Marzahn
If the word “steak” in Berlin automatically makes you think of Mitte or Charlottenburg, you simply haven’t visited Steakhaus Marzahn yet. The family-run restaurant is uncompromising in its commitment to meat quality. Steaks are first grilled at high heat and then finished in a 1000-degree Beefer to achieve a perfectly juicy texture with a robust crust. The result on the plate speaks for itself.
The meat selection ranges from Argentine steaks to Creekstone Farm Angus, all the way to Japanese A5 Miyazaki Wagyu and Australian Jack’s Creek Wagyu. This places Steakhaus Marzahn at a level rarely found in Berlin. Only here is there the “Masterpiece” category, where you choose the exact cut of the steak. The offering ranges from classic Argentine cuts to Chateau Deluxe, and the beef tenderloin from the heart of the fillet, as well as thinly sliced Porterhouse steak, are served in excellent quality.
The sides and appetizers are also of high quality. The menu also includes vegetarian options for those who do not eat meat. If you prefer to start with caviar and oysters, you will also find what you are looking for: Imperial Caviar, Gillardeau Oysters, and Wagyu appetizers are on the menu.
An Institution in East Berlin for Over 20 Years
The restaurant has existed for over 20 years, with its current focus on fine dining grill and BBQ having been in place for about seven years. This is a detail we found particularly interesting: because it is precisely this down-to-earth quality that makes Steakhaus Marzahn special. Fine dining at an international level, right in the middle of Marzahn’s housing estates. It sounds surreal, and it is, in the most beautiful way.
Food experts from all over Berlin agree: nowhere is the meat juicier, the crust better. So, if you are specifically looking for the best steak in Berlin, you should not shy away from the journey to Marzahn. Incidentally, the Gardens of the World, Marzahn’s most famous attraction and a worthwhile destination for nature lovers, are located nearby.
