The meat impresses with the finest premium quality, whether as tartare, dry-aged cowboy steak, filet, or Master Cheese Burger. The BEAST Wellington is also on the menu, which we find remarkable as it interprets the classic dish in its own unique way. The clear focus is on smoky grilled steak cuts, served with classic or extravagant side dishes. The sides are classic but with a special touch: truffled mashed potatoes, potato-jalapeño mash, and pointed cabbage coleslaw. The BEAST Berlin Steakclub at Alexanderplatz launched with a festive dinner for Berlin Fashion Week on July 1, 2024. Restaurateur Alexander Freund chose the heritage-listed Pressecafé, where GDR journalists were once brought into line, and now presents sophisticated US steakhouse culture there. One of the outstanding buildings of GDR modernism now serves as a stage for a piece of American cultural heritage. Therefore, a visit here is always a small excursion into Berlin history. The venue combines restaurant and bar, focusing on private lounges as well as long tables. For those who want to explore the area after dinner: Berlin Cathedral, Karl-Marx-Allee, and the DDR Museum are all within walking distance. Reservations are recommended.
