The Polish snack bar tak tak polish deli on Brunnenstrasse offers delicious Polish specialties of organic quality in a simple ambience in Berlin-Mitte. The deli is best known for its pierogi, which are offered daily in four different variations – three of them even vegetarian. Here one can look forward to delicious varieties such as beetroot-cheese-capers or turkey-dried-tomato-feta. Especially great: If you cannot decide, the plates can also be filled with different pierogi to try all of them. The steamy pierogi are served with some butter, sour cream and roasted onion and you can also enjoy them as a takeaway.

If you want you can also sit and enjoy the soups at tak tak polish deli, some of them are even vegan. The clear beetroot soup (Barszcz Czerwony) for example is served in a glass, which is traditionally drunk with the pierogi in Poland. Also to be found on the menu is a typical Polish stew – Bigos is the national dish of the Poles and is prepared with different meat varieties, cabbage and mushrooms. For dessert you can order pierogi with a sweet filling.

The menu is small and the place itself is small too, but the location is bright and friendly and has a large glass front. When the weather is good there are also a few seats outside on the sidewalk. This is not necessarily a big city idyll, but it spills the typical mid-charm and the much-coveted pierogi are worth a visit.
