Cult-status vegan donuts: Brammibal's Donuts once started at Maybachufer in Neukölln and now operates over a dozen branches in Berlin. The flavors change monthly, and the demand remains consistently high.
Brammibal’s Donuts: Berlin’s Most Famous Vegan Snack to Go
Anyone looking for a quick, sweet snack to go in Berlin can hardly avoid Brammibal’s. The company created Europe’s first vegan and climate-neutral donut in Berlin, and every morning the dough rings are freshly produced by hand in their own bakery. Brammibal’s was founded by Jessica Jeworutzki and Bram van Montfort as a vegan donut shop in Neukölln. Since then, it has grown significantly: today, the company operates 14 branches in Berlin and Hamburg, including one at Berlin’s main train station.
The Berlin-based company focuses on fairly produced cocoa beans, nuts, shredded coconut, and vanilla. So, if you care about sustainability when grabbing a snack to go, this is the place for you. Brammibal’s produces around 10,000 donuts daily in its own bakeries.
New Flavors Monthly, Classic Favorites
In addition to a fixed assortment of six classic donuts, the flavors change monthly to keep the offerings as seasonal and varied as possible. These include varieties such as “White Nougat Pistachio”, “Banana Split”, or “Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake”. There are also regular charity specials: in addition to monthly changing charity donuts, the creations impress with creamy fillings, fancy toppings, and eye-catching decorations.
If you have some time, you might just become a regular. At the Potsdamer Platz branch, the café invites you to linger comfortably on-site in addition to its to-go offerings. Nevertheless, the donut to go remains what Brammibal’s stands for in Berlin: a handmade, vegan snack that’s worth it even when you’re just passing by quickly. Particularly striking: you regularly see Berliners walking through the city with the typical Brammibal’s donut boxes, which shows that this shop is loved far beyond the tourist scene.
