The restaurant Dae Mon on Monbijouplatz near Hackesche Höfe in Mitte opened in 2014 as a fine-dining Korean restaurant. In 2016 Raphael Schünemann, the former pastry chef of the Michelin-starred restaurant Reinstoff, took over the position of chef de cuisine. The Dae Mon stands for a successful Korean-Japanese fusion cuisine with European influences on a gourmet level.

The interior impresses with modern elegance and its decoration in dark colors. The atmosphere is exclusive, relaxed and casual, despite the designer furniture. The service is attentive, friendly and professional.

The food is prepared and served to a high standard. The menu is varied and offers both, meat and fish dishes, which convince food-lovers with their quality. As a former pastry chef Raphael Schünemann was also able to enhance the dessert menu at Dea Mon. Atypical in Asian cuisine, modern interpretations of classics such as chocolate mousse or crème brûlée are served for dessert at Dae Mon.

The high quality cuisine is accompanied by a very well selected wine list. No matter if you are planning a business lunch here or would like to enjoy a sophisticated dinner for a special occasion – the Dae Mon knows how to inspire its guests.
