The Kochu Karu in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg is the best proof that exciting kitchen trends can be observed in Berlin in recent years, entering into unusual connections with each other. The Spanish-born chef José Miranda Morillo and the Berlin-based Korean soprano (!) Bin Lee-Zauner, who studied at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin, create an exciting symbiosis of Spanish tapas cuisine and Korean delicacies. In Korea as well as in Spain, the small appetizers (tapas or banchan) are part of the cuisine. A touch of fusion food finishes the very own, idiosyncratic style of Kochu Karu.

The menu at Kochu Karu also includes Koran algae salad and a selection of Spanish cheese, all at very affordable prices.

With its unique concept and delicious food the restaurant was awarded with the Bib Gourmand by Guide Michelin in 2016.
