Falafel Salam

Small but nice – the oriental falafel store nearby Ku’damm is very authentic.

Not far from Ku’damm you’ll find Falafel Salam at Rankestraße. Between all the shopping stores and restaurants the tiny falafel store looks more like a front door that set a couple of small tables up in front of it. If you take a look inside though, the small room will extend tubular and lead to the bar where everyone is greeted with a warm hello.

The family business opened in 1988 and is one of the first falafel restaurants in Berlin. You instantly feel home when entering, joking around included and every request is met with a smile.

The food tastes especially good after an extended shopping spree at the Ku’damm. The falafel sandwich is served extremely fast and still hot. Falafel Salam also has peanut sauce on the menu. If you’re in a hurry, you can just grab your falafel, but if you got some time, you might as well sit down on one of the few bar tables and enjoy your falafel along with a cinnamon tea.

Looking around you’ll soon notice that the tiny store seems rather authentic: This is how you’d picture a falafel store in the Middle East, even though this one is just around the corner of Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church at Ku’damm.
