Since 2012, Tischendorf in Neukölln has been serving breakfast on Friedelstraße in the heart of Kreuzkölln. This Australian-influenced cafe combines homemade quality with local coffee and a menu ranging from porridge to poached eggs.

Breakfast at Café Tischendorf: More than a good start to the day

Tischendorf at Friedelstraße 25 has been a popular spot for delicious breakfast in Reuterkiez for over a decade. Owner Jutta Tischendorf brought the Australian breakfast vibe from Sydney to Berlin: flat whites, freshly squeezed juices, and a relaxed atmosphere are a matter of course here. The specialty coffee comes from the Berlin roastery Populus and is professionally prepared.

The breakfast menu ranges from porridge and French toast to scrambled eggs, served with fresh bread and generous portions. Those who prefer a vegan breakfast will also find a solid selection. Particularly recommended: the carrot cake and the vegan chocolate cake, which are among the homemade highlights. For lunch, vegan lunch bowls and sandwiches are added, making the cafe suitable for a long morning as well as a late brunch.

Cozy Atmosphere and Local Art

The interior of Tischendorf is warm and thoughtful. Works by local artists regularly rotate on the walls, and a wide selection of reading material is available. Sundays are incidentally laptop-free, which gives the cafe a particularly quiet and sociable atmosphere. So, if you want to enjoy your Sunday morning completely analog, this is the place to be.
