Kuhhorn bathing spot in Grunewald is the city's wild Havel beach: an undeveloped headland on the eastern bank of the Lower Havel, small bays, a narrow strip of sand, and a view of Gatow. At 1.00 Euro for children and 1.50 Euro for adults, it is the most affordable among Berlin's children's museums.

The Havel cycle path at Grunewaldturm leads via Havelchaussee to Berlin's most famous observation tower: 55 meters of brick Gothic from 1899 on the 79-meter-high Karlsberg, about 200 steps to the platform. Along the way are the Schildhorn peninsula with its sandy beach and the island of Lindwerder, to which a bell calls the ferry.
St. Michaels is located on Bismarckallee in Grunewald, by Lake Hertha, yet close to Kurfürstendamm. The house belongs to the Johannische Sozialwerk. Breakfast is a buffet with fresh pastries, cheese, cold cuts, fruit, and muesli, served on the terrace during warmer months. The Grunewald Tower is one of Berlin's photo spots with the widest view: 55 meters of Brandenburg Brick Gothic from 1899 on Karlsberg, 202 steps to the platform, and from there a view over the Havel to Potsdam and Spandau. Inside there is a memorial hall with a ceiling mosaic. The ascent costs 5 Euros. At the foot of the tower, there is a restaurant with a terrace.
