Europe's largest martial arts studio resides in Wedding, spanning an impressive 3,600 square meters. Spitfire Gym brings together boxing, MMA, BJJ, Thai boxing, and wrestling under one roof, attracting Berlin's best professional fighters as well as absolute beginners looking to discover fitness and body awareness in a new way.

Martial Arts as a Fitness Program: Spitfire Gym in Berlin-Wedding

Fitness and physique don’t have to be built at the weight rack. The Spitfire Gym at Müllerstraße 46 in Wedding shows that martial arts can be the much more effective path. Spanning 3,600 square meters, over 130 courses per week are on the schedule, so there’s no shortage of variety in daily training. MMA is the core competence of the house, supplemented by boxing, BJJ, wrestling, and kickboxing as independent disciplines. Boxing alone burns up to 500 calories in 30 minutes of intensive training and challenges both mind and body equally.

Although the best MMA athletes from Berlin and the surrounding area train here, the offer is explicitly also aimed at amateur athletes. This is ensured by a well-thought-out tiered system: All courses are divided by experience levels, and basic techniques are taught in cautious partner exercises in the Basic courses. Additionally, there are selected courses exclusively for women, currently in Thai boxing, MMA, and boxing. This keeps the entry barrier low even without prior experience.

World-Class Coaches, Flexible Memberships, and a Free Trial Day

What distinguishes Spitfire Gym from many other Berlin fitness studios is the quality of its coaching team. When selecting coaches, the gym knows no national boundaries, making it one of the few European gyms that recruit trainers from all over the world. This pays off: As the city’s only MMA gym with professional competitive ambitions, it gathers practically every renowned professional fighter in the capital under one roof.

For a non-binding first impression, there’s a free training day where you can try out as many sessions and courses as you like. Afterwards, several pricing models are available, from limited monthly packages to unlimited memberships with access to the recovery area. Wedding thus gets an address that consistently defines fitness through technique and sparring rather than rows of machines.
