Harry Lehmann Perfumery was founded in Berlin in 1926 and has been located on Kantstraße since 1958. The principle has remained the same for decades: perfume is produced in-house and sold by weight, without elaborate packaging or expensive advertising campaigns. More than 70 fragrances are available, ranging from citrus-fresh to floral, woody, and resinous. Classics include Eau de Berlin, Lindenblüte (Linden Blossom), and Veilchen (Violet), with some recipes dating back to almost 100-year-old originals.

Because expensive bottles are not used, prices remain moderate, with Eau de Parfum starting from 20 Euros. It is filled into simple bottles, and customers can bring their own containers. Upon request, an individual fragrance can also be created, a unique gift that no one else possesses.

Parfum Lehmann: Traditional Business with a New Chapter

After the death of long-time owner Lutz Lehmann in May 2022, the business was dormant for about a year and a half. A young Berlin founding team subsequently took over the perfumery and has been running it ever since. The historic interior was carefully renovated, with much remaining preserved. For its 100th anniversary in May 2026, a second branch opened on Gipsstraße in Mitte, making it the first time since the 1950s that there are again two stores. Customers can try fragrances at their leisure, and the team advises on selection. The Kantstraße location is open Tuesday to Friday from 12 to 19 o’clock and Saturday from 11 to 18 o’clock.
